We diagnose first.
Always.

Standard devices — phones, laptops, tablets — run on a flat rate at our Portland shop. One price covers troubleshooting and labor combined, no separate diagnostic fee, no surprise second bill.

Something more unusual? We'll check it in under our diagnostic process, figure out exactly what it needs, and call you with the plan before any work starts. Either way, you'll know the process the moment you walk in or call.

Parts are usually the only variable

There's very little we can't repair. If a part's needed and the cost isn't worth it, we'll walk you through options — store credit, trade-in, or buying your old device outright.

When does it make sense to fix it?

Usually worth it

The repair cost is less than half the replacement cost

If fixing it makes financial sense and extends the life of something you like, repair almost always wins. Parts are cheaper than new devices, and the result is often as good as new.

Usually worth it

You just want it to work again

Not everything needs to be the latest model. If your TV turns on and your printer prints, you're good. We fix it, it works, done — no upgrade needed.

We'll be honest

The device is reaching end of life

Some things are old enough that a repair just delays the inevitable. We'll tell you if that's the case before we touch it — no point paying for a fix that won't last.

We'll be honest

Replacement parts don't exist

Certain devices — especially older or niche ones — have no serviceable parts left on the market. If that's the situation, we'll say so upfront and help you figure out your next move.

Common questions.

Yes. Bring it in to our SE 96th Ave shop and we'll figure out exactly what's going on — there's not much we haven't seen in 25 years. Once we know what it needs, we'll call you with the plan.
It depends on the device and what's wrong. Simple repairs are often same-day at our Portland location. More complex jobs or anything needing sourced parts can take a few days to a week. We'll give you an honest timeline when we diagnose it.
We'll tell you honestly. If the repair cost doesn't make sense compared to replacement value, we'll say so. We're not in the business of taking your money for repairs that don't make financial sense.
Yes — that's most of what we do. Manufacturer warranties are short, and we've been fixing out-of-warranty devices since day one. We're not affiliated with any manufacturer, which means we can repair things they won't touch.
No appointment needed — walk in at 1012 SE 96th Ave in Portland, right next to T-Mobile. We're open Mon–Fri 10am–6pm and Saturday 10am–5pm.
We'll always find out exactly what's wrong at our Portland shop — that part's never in question, we've been doing this since 2001. The real question is whether it's worth fixing. If a part costs more than replacing the device, we'll tell you straight, walk you through the numbers, and it's your call from there.
Yes — Mac, PC, Android, iOS, and everything in between. We're not brand-specific. If it's broken, we'll look at it regardless of what it is.
Yes. We only access what's necessary for the repair. We recommend backing up your data beforehand when possible, but we treat every device with care.
